On the three stage sluice, most of the gold gets caught in the upper part. As the gravel passes down the box, it goes over a screen, which in my sluice has 3/16 inch holes. The fine gravel and smallest gold goes down through the screen into the lower or underneath section of the sluice.

It measures 14" W by 6'' L. Motor/ pump HP p180 at 350 GPM. I would like to put mats in this order= ur, river hog, talon and scrubber in the first stage.

Sep 04, 2014· Of course the three stage sluice only starts at a 4 inch dredge; however, the 3 inch has the same pump and engine capabilities. Just not the same sluice. I know of the site for building one from the ground up three stage but I am just looking for any upgrading an existing keene.
